Nauthiz – Need – Nauthiz is this second Rune in the second aett, and it signals the light tap on the shoulder to get our attention when it’s time to get moving. After last week’s memo from the Multiverse that the coast is clear and support has been granted, it’s time to actually do something with the power we’ve regained.
Nauthiz signals feelings of discontent about something, as well as the deep desire to change whatever it is. In other words, there is an unmet need. As we coast on the wake of this gifted motivation, we have to realize that the discontent is real. It’s not our imaginations, and it’s not going to just change on its own. We’re on a path of movement for the first time in ages, and the last thing we want is for anything to hold us back. The thing is, nothing is holding us back, save the hesitation to address our own needs. In other words, we can’t move forward until we fulfill the need. Needs unaddressed go unmet. At this point, the unmet need is the crossroads along an otherwise clear path.
It’s all connected: Meet the need, move forward, momentum sustains, progress made.
