Shadow Work?

Shadow work is the buzz right now, though often when I talk about shadow or shadow work, folx don’t know what I mean. They go to a Jungian, single internal aspect. They lump it in with soul loss, which may or may not be on the table.

Shadow aspects form when we are missing a vital way to respond to a dynamic that challenges us. We legit don’t have the skillset for how to funfction safely in a questionable dynamic. So we do our best, which results in at least somewhat accomplishing the goal, but at the cost of our integrity, or sense of wholeness or Self. Even with that description, folx often can’t relate to lived experience of shadow aspects until we break it down to very granular exchanges, after which we felt less but aren’t always sure why.

This is a checklist that I created for myself and others to litmust test where there may be shadow parts involved. If you struggle to reclaim and engage these tenets of your beingness, it’s likely there are shadow parts involved.

Let’s talk. Schedule a session to do shadow work with me.
