This class introduces psychopomp work that offers a perspective and approach we can all use. For deeper deathwork skills participation in The Quest Series, then The Spirited Path are required, so that foundational relationships in cosmology and rituals are established, and so that skills like soul retrieval, curse-breaking, shadow tending, energy tending, and Ancestor tending, are in place.
Class goals are:
- Learn your role in deathwork
- Affirms that you get to choose your relationship with Death
- Imparts basic skill in deathwalking and/or the capacity to know when it needs to be done so that a more experienced deathwalker can be consulted
We’ll cover:
- What deathwalking Is
- Why we don’t deathwalk our unquiet dead
- Why we must deathwalk them
- Why our dead are unquiet
- How we must live not to become unquiet
This class includes a video recording, and a downloadable booklet, written transcript of the video, and suggested experiential ritual approaches to deathwork.
