Protection: Witch Jars
Protection and Spiritual Warfare in Cultural Collapse - Ceremony in SeasonReclaiming Power from Spiritual Warfare
We are required to maintain healthy boundaries at all levels of being: spiritually, physically, and mentally. However, we’re not taught this fact in American settler culture, and the primary way we’re taught about boundaries is through violation of them. We are experiencing collective boundary violation through spiritual warfare on a daily basis, and for that reason must have strong spiritual rituals to protect ourselves.
This community gathering contains teaching, artistic, and ritualistic components. In our time together we will focus on a protective soul tending technique commonly referred to as creating a witch jar or witch bottle. Witch jars are technology that spans many cultures, called by different names. The intention of creating witch jars at this time is to generate protective energies for the spiritual warfare we currently face. Class prerequisites include gathering materials and intentions, and to explore ecosystem relationships for the jar to be effective. In our gathering we will engage these ecosystem spirits to help us create our jar, then assemble the jars together and evoke them in sacred space.

Why I Teach Spirit Work
I am a lifelong animist, intuitive, and deathwalker. These innate awarenesses helped me to stay connected to ecosystem as primary community, which helped me to survive terrible experiences in childhood. These Nature Spirit relationships are the foundation of my soul tending path now, 50 years later. One of my life’s joys is facilitating such relationship with others.
We have all survived something, though we aren’t all in active relationship with ecosystem as community. We are all now surviving collective (and personal) spiritual warfare. The purpose of this Protection gathering is to learn to come into deeper relationship with ecosystem, help identify who among your ecosystem wants to aid in your protection in this difficult time, through group ritual to create a witch jar with these Nature Spirits, and sustain ongoing relationship with them.
This gathering offers an opportunity to learn about spiritual warfare and protection, and also to hold and experience creative seasonal community space.
For this reason, it is open to all who wish to participate, and does not require a specific skill set.
