When you only focus on animal allies

you’re missing a crucial part of Nature’s wisdom. Connecting with animal spirits is just the beginning.

If I’m honest, I never have really connected with animal spirits much in my soul work. Back in the shiny 90s nuage, people didn’t accept plant or rock helping spirits as valid as animal allies. It sounds weird to say that now, but it seemed weird to me to reject any being who wanted to be an ally. For me it’s always been plants and trees who showed up in larger numbers in my cosmology. There are a few animals in my cosmology, but it remains mostly plants, and also largely the plant world that speaks most directly to me in my ecosystem.

If you narrow your options, you can miss out on amazing relationships. And you may not even realize that you are narrowing your options. You may not realize that you have a bias around working with fungi, stone, air, or even human-made aspects of Nature. It’s worth exploring any resistance around other Nature Spirits.

Ultimately, true spiritual relationship comes from actively protecting and nurturing our environment, and in order to do that we have to be repcetive to who’s there. 🌿💚 Learn who’s in your ecosystem, what they need, and how you can make sure they’re taken care of.

Be open to who’s in your ecosystem–all of your ecosystem, not just the parts you know, not just the parts you like. 🌳✨

If you want to learn how to better connect with your ecosystem and engage Nature Spirits, check out the self-paced classes on my site. They teach you to hold animistic awareness through your day, how to engage your ecosystem for joint support and fulfillment, and to see your human-person family as part of your ecosystem, too.
