As a child, I knew two things about myself.

I loved words before I ever learned an alphabet. And I experienced the unseen as naturally as I experienced the visible world.
For a long time, I thought those callings would lead me to write about exploring the world. Instead, they led me to listen more deeply to the stories carried by place, Ancestors, and soul. Eventually I realized my writing wasn’t asking me to explain the past. It was asking me to help people live differently.
Today, through Soul Intent Arts, I help people cultivate reciprocal relationship with their ecosystems, tend meaningful experiences, work with dreams, engage the Elder Futhark, deepen ancestral relationships, and navigate death as a natural part of life.
I believe we’re all called to become wise, embodied elders who one day become capable Ancestors. That calling begins with tending relationships with ourSelves, our communities, the living world, and those who came before us.
I’m an animist, author, deathwalker, death doula, and teacher, living on the ancestral homelands of the Tuscarora, Woccon, and Sissipihaw peoples. A portion of my income supports Indigenous communities connected to this land in recognition of their enduring stewardship.
I’m also disabled, chronically ill, and nonbinary. Those relationships have shaped my understanding of belonging, reciprocity, and what it means to live well with life’s realities.
For more than 30 years, I’ve helped people develop ethical, grounded spiritual practices rooted in animism, ancestral tending, deathwork, and the Elder Futhark. My own path reaches into seiðr and druidry.
