Traditional lore – Mannaz represents Mannus, son of Tuisto, indigenous ancestor of Germanic cultures, who brought forth the Ingaevones, Herminones, and Istvaeones peoples.
Animistic lore – Mannaz represents a point in our eldering that we realize we need other humans, and that they need us. Trust is a huge facet of Mannaz, as it represents coming out in some fashion. In Runic Book of Days, of Mannaz I note, “When we encounter Mannaz it’s time to find that new community.”
Mannaz as runes oracle – mindfulness to support embodiment is called for, and finding sacred community.
Mannaz appears as opposing Wunjos facing each other:
Joy beholding itself.Gain animistic insight into the runes, learn to elder well with ancient wisdom, and cultivate a strong spiritual path
by joining the Runes for Change community.
