For the week of 5 April 2015
Ehwaz as the half-month rune continues to emphasize the need for an extra bit of umph, while Algiz offers up strategic defense.
This week begins with the shift from Berkano as the half-month rune, to Ehwaz. With its emphasis on purpose and that of our intuitive stave, Hagalaz, the suggestion of dramatic change in consciousness prevails, this week.
I’m so happy to see these runes, I could cry. I mentioned last week that having Berkano on the horizon as the half-month influence was inspiring; however, its predecessor, Tiwaz, was no joke. The fact that Wunjo blesses us with joy this week is just sweet bliss.
I am in love with the runes greeting us this week. While half-month Tiwaz continues championing our new strategy to meet our needs and bring a heart matter to a close, Gebo indicates satisfying, rewarding balance.
We’re certainly cycling through a pattern focused on speaking our truths, and we’re doing it with militaristic precision. Ansuz reversed was the stave for the week in early February, and it visits again now.
Through our experience of Sowilo as the half-month presence, there’s been a lightness and comfort that’s permeated this phase of winter. That sense of soul companionship deepens this week with Othala.
For the last few weeks, relationships and how we feel about specific ones has been the focus of the runes. With Algiz as the half-month rune, this week we sit camouflaged cozily in its native grasses, as Tiwaz, this week’s rune, brings a second wind.
