Reiki is the Japanese art of energy healing that involves placing the hands in various positions about the body to promote even flow of life force. By channeling Universal life force, the life force within the body and mind are strengthened, and the soul is nourished. The life force we attract mirrors the life force we hold inside. Reiki provides a means of stress reduction and relaxation so that we can attract calm, fulfilling life experiences. Reiki supports all faiths, nationalities, creeds, and religions. People of all faiths are Reiki Masters and Teachers. Safe and effective, Reiki is complementary to all other methods of healing and medical care. By virtue of its source, Reiki can do no harm, and it always transmits to what needs healing most.

The practice of Reiki is based on five concepts, or principles, used in daily affirmation:
The Sacred method of Inviting Blessings
The Spiritual Medicine of Many Illnesses
Today only, do not anger; do not worry.
Do your work with appreciation.
Be kind to people.
In the morning and at night hold your hands in prayer,
meditate and chant these words.

Uses
Reiki sessions treat:

• Stress
• Physical conditions - injuries, chronic conditions, recovery
• Emotional conditions - including depression, anxiety, addition,
• Spiritual emergency
• Hurts from the past
• Palliatory Care
• Where is is most needed

Sessions
Sessions are done in hour or half hour increments. Hour-long sessions include a full body Reiki treatment. Half hour sessions include an abbreviated body treatment or focus only on one area of the body.

Classes
Reiki training is usually divided into three levels. Each level requires "empowerment," or attunemnt to the life force of its teaching. These attunements not only prepare the student to be a Reiki channel to serve the planet, but initiate deep changes within the student. Know that a Reiki Master is not one who has mastered Reiki. A Reiki Master is someone whom Reiki has mastered.

• Shoden - Level 1 - Teachings prepare the student for heart-centered awareness
• Okuden - Level 2 - Teachings prepare the student for Universal awareness
• Shinpiden - Master Level - Teachings prepare the student to merge heart and Universal awareness
